One
of the biggest thrills I had as a
young conductor was the chance to
learn from one of great composers of
our times-Pulitzer Prize winner
George Crumb. |
Working
with him and the orchestra as we
prepared his score- Haunted
Landscapes was one of the great
learning experiences I had as I
began the shift from student to
professional. It raised my own level
of musicianship and served to cement
my commitment to quality
performances of works by living
composers-wherever that road has
taken me. |
